My heart is bursting. On the eve of my first child's birth, my dad - who's been in prison nearly my entire life - was granted clemency. He never intended harm, yet his crime devastated many families. My heart breaks for the families that can never get their loved ones back.

Most people (not all) are worthy of redemption. I'm sure he's changed. Go give that man a hug.

He was an unarmed getaway driver, who was sentenced to life.

He knew his accomplices had weapons, was he ever present at the apartments the Weather Underground put together bombs? He is an animal deserving to lock away until his body gives up his evil soul

He's the only one still in jail. Not sure why you think a getaway driver deserved 75 years. Authoritarians are weird.

This is a blatant lie. Jeral Williams and Samuel Brown are both serving their 75 Years-to-Life sentences.

The only living participants who are out of jail, so far as I can tell, are Kathy Boudin (who served her full 20 year sentence) and Judith Clark, who received parole after her sentence was commuted by Cuomo.

Gilbert, Boudin, and Clark all deserve to rot in prison for the rest of their lives, the same as Williams and Brown. All three of their releases are a failure of the justice system.

Kathy Boudin, who freely participated in an armed robbery (being in front of the getaway trunk carrying several men armed with assault rifles who emerged from the back of the truck to gun down two police officers who stopped them), should be in jail, not teaching at Columbia U.

There is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING authoritarian about wanting to keep almost a half dozen domestic terrorists in prison to punish them for all the lives they took, and all the lives they irreparably damaged, all in the name of waging war against America.
