I really love this work but I also hate that you've "re-used" the phrase 'tiling' which already has a specific technical meaning in the field of genome assembly.

Well we really call it "IBS tiling" in the paper [IBS = "identical by state"]. Wonder whether that's better from your pov? I used "tiling" in the thread so as not to throw off people with the extra jargon, but maybe should have been clearer about that here.
