It was awesome to contribute our data on confidence & pain to this huge multi-lab multi-outcome database on Confidence. Hope this is the start of many similar efforts in cognitive neuroscience! Bravo to for having the idea & leading the effort.

Finally, here is the link to the OSF page of the Confidence Database: . And, if you can't access papers at Nature Human Behavior, here's a read-only link to the article: (6/6)

This was an amazing team effort with a total of 83 people contributing and sharing the authorship. I am a little biased but I really think that this was science at its best. (5/6)

Feel free to download the datasets and analyze! This is meant as a resource for everyone. Even if you don't work on confidence, the inclusion of information about stimulus, response, and RT can be useful for many projects. (4/6)

The Confidence Database will remain open indefinitely, so consider contributing your confidence datasets from current or future studies! We have detailed instructions about how to format your data and have provided codes that you can use for quality checks. (3/6)

We also included scripts in Matlab, Python, and R that can be used to upload the data. The data are released under the CC0 license meaning that they are in the public domain.(2/6)

We have tried to make this database as user friendly as possible. All data are uploaded in a common format (we've used csv files and accompanying readme files for each dataset) making it easy to import and analyze in any software. (1/6)

Updated preprint from the lab: Large prospective losses lead to sub-optimal sensorimotor decisions in humans In economic decision-making, people display a variety of biases (e.g. loss aversion) and often use quick heuristics (e.g. satisficing). 1/n

New preprint: Computational model of attentional dynamics. We generalized the normalization model of attention into the time domain to capture attention to points in time. Data and modeling suggest that voluntary attention is a limited resource over <1 s.

... that the brain literally implements Bayesian computations. At the same time, I point out there is no evidence that the brain literally implements Bayesian computations and plenty of evidence against this notion. (2/3)
