There is of course a great deal more to it than this... but if all you want to know is the absolute foundational knowledge, this is an approximate starting point.

As your visibility grows, make sure you're aware that people you don't know will view your progress differently. Some will enjoy seeing it. Others will not. That's ok... An unfortunate side effect of the internet. Pay it no mind. (Don't know who sent the bad one. It's a burner)pic.twitter.com/7awcatWOiT

As an aside, buying follows, f4f, or artificial buffs to your follows actually HURTS you. Your engagement % drops significantly, and the algorithm essentially learns that hardly anyone gives a shit what you have to say. Also, I'm broke. So, I'm not spending on follows

Like this ONLY if it appears in your feed please. Last one on this tonight. If you add comments to an older thread, it will still show up for SOME of your followers. Additional eyes/clicks may increase visibility for a very short while if you want to add some legs to a post.

Yes and no. Tagging people generally helps short term visibility, but hurts long-term visibility, whereas the opposite is generally true for hashtags. That said I totally don't use either in posts where I'm specifically aiming for engagement.

And this explains why art twitter is failing because artist don’t get comments on their artwork so twitter doesn’t notice it as an engaging post. That’s what we artist neeeeeed
-
Posts with media are actually handled a *little* differently. While they follow the same rules, there are some modifications artists could make to improve the performance of their posts that I rarely see. it's all a process though, and artist twitter is very saturated as well.
