Call with my Korean counterpart Chung Eui-yon. The Republic of Korea strongly condemns Russian aggression against Ukraine and plans to take active part in sanctions pressure on Russia. Korean friends provide Ukraine with humanitarian assistance. Grateful for standing by Ukraine.

Call with my UK counterpart and friend @trussliz. Coordinated new sanctions on Russia for its barbaric aggression against Ukraine, as well as steps to close any loopholes and leave Russia no chance to bypass current and future sanctions.

Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has affected Ukrainians and non-citizens in many devastating ways. Africans seeking evacuation are our friends and need to have equal opportunities to return to their home countries safely. Ukraine’s government spares no effort to solve the problem.

Kyiv TV tower, which has just been hit by a Russian missile, is situated on the territory of Babyn Yar. On September 29-30, 1941, Nazis killed over 33 thousand Jews here. 80 years later, Russian Nazis strike this same land to exterminate Ukrainians. Evil and barbaric.

Following barbaric attacks on our cities and the murder of 16 Ukrainian children, I call on all states and international organizations to join Ukraine in deputinizing the world: ending Putin’s influence in politics, diplomacy, business, sports, culture, research & other spheres.

Met online with Foreign Ministers of the Weimar Triangle of Poland, France and Germany. I urged to step up sanctions pressure on Russia to make it stop its war crimes in Ukraine, and provide Ukraine with more weapons, financial and humanitarian support.

The best decision the EU can make now is to accept Ukraine as a new full-fledged member of the European Union without delay. Historic times require big and historic decisions which can change the flow of events. This step is exactly such a decision.

In our call, @SecBlinken affirmed that the U.S. support for Ukraine remains unfaltering. I underscored that Ukraine craves for peace, but as long as we are under Russia’s assault we need more sanctions and weapons. Secretary assured me of both. We coordinated further steps.

Call with @JosepBorrellF on Russia’s latest war crimes in Ukraine, including brutal indiscriminate shelling of civilian infrastructure in Kharkiv which led to multiple civilian casualties. HR/VP updated me on the EU’s resolute steps to further elevate sanctions against Russia.

Call with my Italian counterpart and friend @luigidimaio. Grateful for his personal commitment to supporting Ukraine. Italy advocates the toughest line when it comes to sanctioning Russia for its crimes. I stressed the importance of granting EU membership to Ukraine.

Call with my Lithuanian friend @GLandsbergis. Lithuania stands by Ukraine resolutely. More military and humanitarian support is on its way to Ukraine. We both agree that the EU must adopt the most painful sanctions against Russia to stop Putin’s war against the Ukrainian people.

Call with Singapore’s FM @VivianBala. Singapore stands in solidarity with Ukraine as we defend ourselves from the ongoing Russian invasion. Grateful for Singapore’s humanitarian assistance and urge Singapore to join the global economic pressure on Russia to stop Putin’s war.
