@DjangoWexler All of this incel conversation reminds me so much of a bunch of guys I knew at CMU who arrived as very, very sad teenagers with nascent anger towards women and were convinced that they'd never have sex, and then found a lot of women who shared their interests--

Sad/hateful on every level, & willing to find any excuse for why their problems are someone else's fault does seem to be their default setting. CMU did have a few weird little pockets of emotional gremlins, but at least most could see guys like themselves in good relationships.

And by "guys like themselves" I do mean guys who had the same surface characteristics that most were using as excuses, but with actual pleasant personalities. I did hear some horror stories from women who were in the hard sciences.
