So instead of publishing papers with opposing ideas you believe that the Lancet should take a stance on specific issues and not publish anything that disagrees with that stance? That’s an unbiased approach to have

That’s why Hong Kong has the highest life expectancy. Did you know the Japanese ate more meat than Americans, are the #1 eggs eaters, and fish eaters? No wonder the Japs are number 2 in life expectancy.

We have a saying in the UK about getting two specific body parts confused. The “elbow” wrote this article, whereas the EAT guidelines came out of the other one.

It's part of the PURE studies, but I don't know which one. Could be unpublished. This hits pretty close to home: "total fat and each type of fat was associated with lower risk of total mortality (quintile 5 vs quintile 1, total fat: HR 0·77 [95% CI 0·67–0·87], p trend<0·0001"
-
It really depends on the study and how the data was collected / if it was taken over x number of years
-
I think this one's more accurate than all of those food questionares, where you ask people what they 'think' they ate last. Then wait a couple decades, track outcomes and somehow try to extrapolate data from it all.
