Nobody is saying that YouTube doesn't have the right to regulate content. People are starting to move to places like DTube because of these decisions.

doing repugnant conspiracy theories about crisis actors and false flag operations regarding mass shootings. Some of the content on InfoWars is very irresponsible and I think it's fair to be worried that some of it might encourage people to commit acts of violence.

I see where you're coming from, and I suppose your idea about regulating YouTube as a utility is consistent with what the government has regulated in the past. However jumping straight to regulation by a government that definitely doesn't understand the platform worries me.

Yeah, I mean of course we need people with an understanding of the platform in government. For better or worse though at least within congress there are now or will soon be many people who have at least some understanding of how news on YouTube works.
