…tried to break in the passenger side window & then broke the one behind it, CLIMBED IN & stole her purse & backpack. You can see traffic prevented her escape.
The woman told me she didn’t leave her house for days after the incident.

What’s sad to me is that the woman said it took awhile for anyone to offer help. She said she was screaming during the ordeal. It wasn’t until 30 minutes later someone called police. (I believe her phone was stolen in the incident.) (3/4)

This is getting ridiculous. Is this the result of Prop 47? It appears as thefts are getting more brazen. What can we do? Should we strengthen the law to make any type of theft a Class A felony and not a misdemeanor?
