I'm looking for a job now. I decided to try . After quiz I had on their site they suggested to talk and to create console minesweeper as interview preparation. Actually, I miss minesweeper on MacBook. I just created console minesweeper. Enjoy!

Well.. Sometimes you need it: λ> putStrLn "Hello Haskell!\nHow are you?" Hello Haskell! How are you? λ> (putStrLn.unwords.words) "Hello Haskell!\nHow are you?" Hello Haskell! How are you? λ> (putStrLn.unwords.words) "Hello Haskell!\27EHow are you?" Hello Haskell! How are you?

we're playing Turing Tumble tonight and my children have so far learned that sometimes you have to re-run a program to see if it fucks up in the same way each time or different ways

I had a dream about philosophers last night. During the dinner some of them was transformed into traitor generals and everyone became furious and start messaging to each other. It was a lot of unread messages in queues. And then it was out of memory. I think I need to sleep more.

TIL: 404 errors on web site are interesting too: (I hope this won't return 404 for a too long, in case you don't have 404, just add rando character to the URL)

As usual, you can find solution here: But better to solve it without solution. It's fun. For me, a lot more inspiring things, I played with last days are algorithms from SICP. One of them is here: It's beautiful, isn't it?

No, that's Machiavellian. A Mandalorian is a stringed musical instrument in the lute family and is usually plucked with a plectrum.

I love the Haskell tradition of fun packages named "acme-": • acme-everything: Depends on every other package • acme-flipping-tables: (╯°□°╯) "┻━┻" • acme-php: combines the dynamic flexibility of Haskell with the strong design principles of PHP

Today I was working with David Spivak and Brendan Fong on our new course, Programming with Categories. It will take place in January at MIT as part of IAP. We'll introduce categorical concepts and teach elements of Haskell to illustrate them. Yes, all 18 lectures will be recorded

Huge FAQ we get is "why do stars twinkle and planets don't?" Well Karen, ALL light from space gets refracted by atmospheric irregularities (e.g. temperature/density variation with altitude), but planets and our moon occupy large areas in the sky, so they remain fuzzy but intact.
