Yes to this on the eve of a school-wide SAT for all juniors & STAAR for freshman in all of AISD. The coordination, logistics, security, & insanity of prepping for this & organizing these is too much for a skeleton staff. Learning stops well before the test & teachers proctor. -
Let’s not forget it’s not just STAAR that takes up instruction time, and student mandated testing time. AP tests, TSI tests, SAT school day. If the state hired proctors & did not expect teachers to test and counselors to organize them, there’d be a more quality instruction time.
