I was originally slated to be an AI programmer on Engalus! Funny enough, this thing never ran for me, and I only recovered it semi-recently by sector scraping a partially dead drive. Then I wrote an OpenGL wrapper to externally massage it into running. Its existence is a miracle.

Is it the same build as on the
@Crytek original demo disc in@vigamusroma?pic.twitter.com/1xUA1RYDm2
-
Nope. This build is a development snapshot from before anything was sent off or demonstrated externally. Content-wise, there are only a couple of built maps for testing certain engine features.

The graphics of the original Far-Cry blew my mind when I booted it up for the first time on my Athlon XP 3200 machine with its ATI Radeon 9800pro! Great engine, crytek we’re always ahead of the curve with engine design

It got me back into games development after giving up because I didn't get C++, I wanted to work on something like Farcry so so much. 10 years on I got a job there!
