Baby Stoats spotted on the road to Achiltibuie yesterday by the driver from Lochbroom Woodfuels. Too cute not to share...pic.twitter.com/XATgBKfcLp

Don't send them to #Orkney on their hollybobs whatever you do! We're just about to start an extermination programme to eliminate them & protect our bird life. Ruthless little blighters only appeared here on the islands in very recent past. 😯

Yikes, presumably they surfed over from Durness. We'll take them. Catch and release, just stick 'em on the Scrabster ferry...

Will never really know but I'd guess they were introduced by a disgruntled (& misguided) farmer who may have been agrieved at a perceived high handed attitude sometimes displayed in the past by the RSPB in Orkney?

Saw one take down a crow on Fanore caravan site many years ago. Bird (big!) dragged underground -never even knew it'd been jumped. I sat there shocked rigid at the caravan window like the girl on the beach in Jaws who can't quite form the word 'shark'. "Sss.. sss...sssStoat!"

They're *very* young Stoats, black tail tip not yet developed. Pine Martens don't have a pale belly. These are too young to be out of the nest, mother must've been moving them (they often do).
