If I remember correctly, when I had asked years ago, it was the old Mithril Silver with bluish grey shading and that the photo makes it look kinda NMM.

Yeah. Like a luminously bright silver with blue shaded recesses. I genuinely can't remember who I'd asked but it had been a GW artist almost a decade ago and I'm almost 90% sure that's what they told me.
