It’s really gotta earn it, an epic scope of story or that couldn’t be shortened (or turned into a limited series). I can count on one hand movies that I feel earned a 3+ runtime.

I kinda feel both ends on this. It's hard for me to sit still for that long for physical reason, but my mind usually craves the depth of longer runtimes. It's a real rare gem that's captured my mind enough to not notice the pain of sitting still so long.
