Definitely for THEM! Especially after the love they willingly gave to us in kind. Why it hurts to this day in regards to my partner, Midnight, despite it being now 15 years later. There are some wounds that "time does NOT heal". We cannot help ourselves when it continually hurts.
Over 40+ years, we've had over 50 cats, dogs, rats, bunnies, etc. I hope to get mobbed when I see them again.

That's a beautiful vision! Because of my clinical depression since my teen years I am prone to feel emotional in some instances & just picturing this brought a single tear, in fact. I, myself, genuinely hope to see all 4 of my furbabies on Day 1 of afterlife, especially Midnight!

The sheer joy and devotion they give you, it's no small wonder why sometimes the company of the 4-legged can be preferable than bipedal company. Few things give as much contentment as a furry companion lazily lounging by your side. I hope you see them too.
