That's really kind of her. It takes a special kind of patience to work with PTSD. Mainly, I think, because our initial reaction tends to be pushing everyone and everything away. I know I'm in a good place with it when I can break free long enough to reach out like this.
That friend is a lot like family to us so we try to help him when we can. He's had a few bad episodes where he just holes up in our guest room for a day. But I often wonder how you're doing as well. Hopefully next time I'm back home I'll be able to say hi.

I've been holed up for the last few days, so I can definitely relate. It's so easy to get lost in your head. I'm just glad it's gone down in frequency, for me. I'd like that, a lot. Maybe we can catch up over a cup of coffee.
