Weird work confession: I make up little phrases, songs, or nicknames about nearly everyone I work with and whisper them to myself when they IM me

I remember my first few months at work we had the habit of calling everyone by an honorific and their last names, (Mr. Feasel, Mr. Magdalena, etc.) Something about the atmosphere was very naval.

When I sat near @Dager1989, he had the saxophone ring. One of us went "This is John's phOoOne" along with it one day. From then on I did it compulsively and it was SUPER. HARD. TO STOP.

Best part of that row was when Chris Clark would call Rex from his office on speaker phone - I sat two desks away from Chris and 3 from Rex; we were all caught in the echo and it waaaaas hysterical watching Rex try not to be caught off guard by his own voice

If only Chris knew how much we could hear him during those calls
