Been there, done that. All I can say is, LISTEN. TO. EVERY. WORD. they say about aftercare. It's not that bad, if you don't have complications, but if you do... You'll wish you'd never been born.

Honestly, it really wasn't that bad. The worst part, for me, was feeling them pull the vas deferens out before cutting, knotting and cauterizing them. It wasn't painful, just very unnerving, on a very base and primal level. Kept having visions of William Wallace.

It’s definitely an alien experience, but again it’s worthwhile when one is opting to not have kids. Compared to tubal ligation, a vasectomy is a joke in terms of how involved and risky it is.
