Local store didn’t have any 9700K. Decided on the Ryzen 2700X.

Having been advised to check mobo manufacturer’s site for details, I’ll share the same. Make sure that the ram you’re buying will actually work with it in the mobo you’ve bought. Apparently that’s been a misery for some.
Yeah I’m still RAM shopping. No ones carrying any 16gb of 3400 MHz ram nearby. Still need a case and cooling.

Good to hear. Apparently you can’t even count on a ram manufacturer to work with Ryzen 2 in a given mobo manufacturer. It literally comes down to the specific model mobo and same for ram. Yeesh.
