OK hivemind. I'm building a new PC. I'm usually an AMD fanboi but I'm plunking down for an i7. Should I get the 8700K or 9700K? Not doing i9. Got a 2080ti vid card to go along with the new rig.

I’d seriously lean towards the 8700k for now, given that it should be more than enough for the next couple years and Spectre mitigations that keep coming out seem to hit the higher-end silicon the hardest (if there’s a difference).
I wouldn't mind firing SC back up again. Need to check if my acct is still active. The only thing I wanted from my acct was my 890 Jump.

I’ve got a potato and it runs reasonably well, so I’d expect anything with new hardware to rock. Why wouldn’t your account be active, if you’re a backer? Or is this one of those things where they have to avoid a T20 issue (EVE scandal).

I tried logging into my acct after I left CIG but didn't check if there was anything left. Dunno if anything happened when I went back to "civvy duty"
