    Because they followed a grandstanding loner like Bernie, neoprogressives and the squad have zero coalition building skills. That’s a basic part of politics. Til they learn that, they will be more of a social media phenomenon than anything else.

    I feel like there’s a strong chance we’ll later uncover documented proof that abandoning the populace to fallout from COVID was deliberate & calculated.

    A scientist told me Trump played a big role in the speed of developing a vaccine: They needed comparisons of numbers of infections of those vaccinated compared to those not. Because Trump let COVID run wild, they hit statistically significant # of infections faster than expected.

    This desire for a vaccine shot that allows us to get back to the business of racial capitalism & not address the structural problems this pandemic has exposed, tells me that power class will invest in the maintenance of race-class oppression, not solve racial/economic injustice.

    This fixation with the vaccine above everything else is being driven by the ownership class who stand to profit & benefit the most while 3,000+ people are dying every day! This level of death or higher is expected *for months* before a vaccine is widely available.
