No it wouldn't be, if you'd actually consider the eventuality of maybe even touching the 75% of our city zoned as single-family.

I really love when I travel to high-density, walkable cities where I can live without a car. Why is it "absolutely terrible" for Bellevue to be building walkable neighborhoods?

The "absolutely terrible" describes how the growth is *exclusively* happening in those areas. Not only is it not enough growth in housing to significantly offset our exorbitant housing prices, it doesn't provide the diversity of housing in multiple neighborhoods that we need.
