Journalists are out there to tell the world what is happening. We’re not with the cops and we’re not with the protesters. We are your eyes and ears. My colleagues tonight worked like hell to stay safe and tell this story, and we are going to keep telling this story.
It’d be nice if they can do their jobs without worrying about getting arrested, sprayed or manhandled.

Similar things are happening around the country. It seems there's a fair bit of 'bad apples' in PDs who don't want press seeing their work.
