Lib Dems risk finding themselves in similar position now, re indy. If they value EU membership so much (which they do), then will they support Scottish independence, now the only viable route to potentially being part of EU? Or will they dogmatically say 'no'?

Jim Murphy on the telly pontificating over “Scottish” Labour’s collapse, is a hoot! Seems to have conveniently forgotten their 2015 result and who presided over it

Surprised there is no Scottish labour movement for a federal UK. (Not FUK obviously) It would be an acknowledgement of the desire for greater autonomy and home rule, coupled with pragmatism on things like defence. Instead they just copy the Tory line on the Union.
-
Gordon Brown owns the copyright to "federal uk" and "most powerful devolved parliament in the world". Like a lot of what the once great politician has said of late: a collection of word held together by nothing other than a deluded feeling of self importance.

Totally agree, the hatred of all things SNP seems to be the preoccupation of Scottish Labour - even above trying to get rid of Tories. Until they get over this, they're fucked up here.
-
They're Unionists James. Pure and simple. Indyref showed labour and their true colours. Shoulder to shoulder with Tories, Ukip, Orange Order and any other right wing group.

Well they’re paying for it noo. Scot Labour have been so focused on attacking the SNP they even let the Tories gain a foothold in working class areas. While it was unfolding last night Labour bods still going at SNP with Tories settling into 2nd spot.
