    KOALA UPDATE - I have confirmed this afternoon that forestry contractors had left the site before the koala deaths. The Koalas were in trees that were left standing as per protocols for koala management during plantation harvest. These trees were felled by another party. 1/2

    Spoke too soon. Small grass fire 10 kms away. I'm safe. But I'm also home alone with 3 animals, no car & a chronic illness. This climate crisis is going to kill us poor & disabled peeps pretty quickly.

    I'm in South West Vic. It's 39.6 degrees with 60km nnw winds right now. It feels hotter and the sound of the wind seems stronger than that. There's no fires near me. I'm in awe of anyone out there fighting fires in these conditions. This is Black Sat 2.0
