I think it doesn't matter if we are "real" or not. The transition is to feel comfortable in our skin, if someone finds out and don't recognise us as male or female (respectively) is their problem not mine. Of course we are still biologically female or male (respectively) but 1/2

The transition is to make yourself attractive to straight men since gay men don’t want you.

The transition is so you're comftable with yourself, also, just because someone is transgender, does not mean they are attracted to men.

There’s no indication that anyone is comfortable with themselves after surgery.

Really? There are LOADS of trans people that got surgery, and are now living happy, content lives, in a body that they are now comftable with.

Lying gets people no where, so I don't see why they would.

Right. Why would a mentally ill person lie about their motivations? Nobody in emotional pain would ever lie to cover up something embarrassing or unpleasant.

Mentally ill? There's nothing mentally ill about it. Most people understand that lying won't solve anything, that includes mentally ill people, too. Plus, you really think that every single person that did it is lying? That's a bit far out there.
