I think it doesn't matter if we are "real" or not. The transition is to feel comfortable in our skin, if someone finds out and don't recognise us as male or female (respectively) is their problem not mine. Of course we are still biologically female or male (respectively) but 1/2

This is your assumption, not an opinion

I'm pointing that your assuming stuff, not giving your honest opinion

That is my takeaway from all the extant research.

*scant research

There’s a huge body of research. Here’s the best popular book on the subject.https://www.amazon.com/Man-Would-Queen-Gender-Bending-Transsexualism/dp/0309084180 …

So you just believe gender dysphoria is not an actual condition but a choice based in a kink? Have you considered that there's the trap kink and actual people having nightmares, suicidal ideation, and extreme distorted body image as actual transgender people have?
-
Have you considered that they lie about their motivations, are largely unwanted and unattractive, and merely suffer from cluster B personality disorders?

The transition is so you're comftable with yourself, also, just because someone is transgender, does not mean they are attracted to men.
-
There’s no indication that anyone is comfortable with themselves after surgery.
-
Really? There are LOADS of trans people that got surgery, and are now living happy, content lives, in a body that they are now comftable with.

http://journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0016885 … This is the most thorough longitudinal study on post-ops transsexuals. As you can see, their mortality goes up. Well, at least they *say* they’re happy, right? It’s not like people would just lie!
-
Lying gets people no where, so I don't see why they would.
-
Right. Why would a mentally ill person lie about their motivations? Nobody in emotional pain would ever lie to cover up something embarrassing or unpleasant.
-
Mentally ill? There's nothing mentally ill about it. Most people understand that lying won't solve anything, that includes mentally ill people, too. Plus, you really think that every single person that did it is lying? That's a bit far out there.
