From the onset, Jeff was unable to defend even the most basic claims. He started by claiming that this speech was illegal for him to hold, and claimed the judge had forbidden him from talking about LBGTQIA+ subject matters at all.

This was proven to be a lie; the text of the order from his own powerpoint stated that this was only barred in front of "the child". In other words, he was barred from harrassing his daughter about her gender. When confronted about this, he dismissed it as "commie slander".

A YCT-affiliated photographer attempted to take photos of one of the protest members, kneeling directly in front of them to take photos of their face. The protest member refused and blocked the photogropher's camera, leading to a verbal altercation.

Kelly Neidert attempted to follow Jeff, telling the police in a shaky tone "I need to get in there." She must not be as important as she thought, becuase the car drove off without her. An officer hugged her around the shoulders and guided her into the language building.

I have been in similar situations before where an official vehicle is attempting to push through a crowd. In each occasion I have witnessed this, the vehicle makes it's way through the crowd at a slow and steady pace to allow people the opportunity to get out of the way.

I have a lot of thoughts about this event, but that can wait for tomorrow. Overall, I'm proud of the community response we got today. Defend equality, and remember, we keep us safe.
