The Levels of Problem-solving: Level 1 — You solve the problem. Level 2 — You solve the problem that caused the problem. Level 3 — You avoid the problem that caused the problem. Level 3 is the most valuable but hardest to see.

😵 My little bro was just announced as a new GP at . I’m so insanely happy and proud of him. That said I can’t wait to continue kicking his ass for years to come. PSA for founders: we are very similar but I’m 1 minute older and wiser. Also taller.

Jessica and I were talking about who in Silicon Valley has had the most effect in proportion to how well they're known, and we both picked the same person: Carolynn Levy.

I don't like your tweets just for liking sake...I do that because I really like you, like your personality, want to be close to you to learn from you and look up to you. Am a very reserved person (introvert)...if I comment or like your tweet, it means I do really like you !

Every piece of startup advice should also include for what size company. When you read me say that a 5 person company and a 500 person company should operate differently, you react "duh, no kidding" But almost no online advice tells you which one they're talking about.

When someone that you know is intelligent, smart and reasonable pitch you a startup idea that sounds somehow crazy, 🤨 that's usually a good bet. 👍

Great startup ideas show us a future we could not envision.

If startups in your portfolio never met your expectations , it was just some good people trying their best in tough situations and they have learned from the challenge

Is there any startup working on something like virtual machines on top of Gmail or outlook Ability to give a 3rd -party service access to specific domains without granting them full access to your email inbox (huge security risk) Need one

My heart goes out to all the startup founders sliding into a VC DM on Twitter and not getting any response back. Don’t worry, your case will be like what this investor just tweeted. Shout out to yourself for building something impressive

On point. W/ so much , the media never show how hard it is to build a company, team, product, vc fund, it really is. I guest lecture students & I tell them how worthwhile it is & at the same time painful. to my fellow , out there

Great founders teach us how to think about a future we could not envision.

You don’t have to learn to code fully, but a little bit of Python, Github, MongoDB and SQL can go a long way. You’ll be: Able to read and understand source codes (to reverse engineer a product). Able to vet engineers (and earn their respect).

If you’re struggling to come up with good startup ideas , just think about this: What can you make easier to understand, faster to get, cheaper to buy, or more accessible to others?

Sometimes most people don’t need more advice, they need people to cheer them up. 💪👍

Being a founder is hard. Being an investor is hard. Being an engineer is hard. Being a friend is hard You sometimes have no idea what people are passing through...a nice smile and sincere commendations can go a long way to uplift them.

Investors want to fund startups run by leaders, not problem-solvers.
