"Continuing to mispronounce the names of students...Not willing to listen closely and learn the pronunciation of a non-English based name." Lol, I worked at a Persian restaurant for months. Owners couldn't ever pronounce my name; called me Barbie instead. Didn't bother me

Both of my parents shortened their names when we moved here because no one could pronounce them. They never felt micro aggressed
-
That’s good for them that they didn’t care. You do know your parent’s experience does not negate any one else’s experience in any way shape or form and should not be applied to everyone else as the only truth, I hope.
-
Certainly each of us has our subjective experience. My point is only that as refugees and immigrants, we have the choice to either feel victimized and interpret these types of interactions as aggressions or we adapt and move on.
-
You know what, I fully miss read her initial tweet I thought she was saying at the end of it for them not to bother to her, like to say don’t talk to me anymore, b/c it bothered her a lot. So I thought that was your response, being cold to her experience. My bad!

I think my favorite is “Wow! How did you become so good at math?” I know I get offended when people say that to me
-
That one blew my mind, too. Am I allowed to say "Wow! How did you become so good at debating?" or "chemistry?" or "playing that guitar?" Is expressing admiration & asking about skill development only racist/sexist if it's math? What if I asked a white person? I'm so confused.
-
I kid you not, within 2 minutes of retweeting this I was locked out of Twitter for “violating the rules.” Insanity.

@MisterCommodity so apparently I can’t ask you to help me with my Spanish anymore?? -
Until now I had no idea he was Spanish.
-
I believe this is would also be considered a microagression!
-
Sorry. Spanish is a really big word. I should've asked someone from a coastal area to explain it to me.

So to avoid making anyone feel like a victim: -Divide people by race and rate their value based on it -Lower the standards for the less qualified people (which, according to the Left, are non-whites) -Teach people (especially non-whites), that there aren’t opportunities for them
