Ftr, it would still be grand even if this were brand new information. But it feels extra t*rf-y and weird that there's a strain of people claiming to have been fine with it until now. Did they think it was an extended bit and now that it's undeniably real, they're lashing out?pic.twitter.com/oOUBlrlRoB

Anyway, congrats to Eddie, who still uses that name and now IDs as genderfluid afaik. Life is long & identity is an ongoing conversation w/ ourselves. This went down on an English show called Portrait Artist of the Year, which I'd love to watch, but haven't been able to thus far.pic.twitter.com/GZiMVNG4dq

Soooo I was sledding with my niece for my birthday and this blew up. I'm reporting t*rfs and making a donation in honor of Eddie to the Transgender Emergency Fund of Massachusetts, a areat local org helping trans, nonbinary & GNC folks - I hope you do too.https://transemergencyfund.org/

I looked to see if Eddie had a favorite relevant org to support but couldn't find one. If anybody knows, please reply so we can support! If you're a trans or genderfluid person in need, drop your cash app or whatever here so folks can help. This pandemic is long & winter is cold.

Oh and editors, I know it's that time of year, but rather than screen grabbing my tweets or having a staffer summarize them, consider hiring me, a full-time freelance queer nonbinary pop culture critic, comedy nerd, and longtime Eddie Izzard fan, to write about this.pic.twitter.com/LrDnReX4U9

Until a few minutes ago, I thought she was a cis male who identified as a transvestite, tbh, but idc either way.

I think years ago she used to identify that way

I'm reminded of the song "Marionette" by ABBA.

She also ran several marathons in a ridiculously short time for charity! After just training to do one. She's awesome!

One marathon a day for a month, IIRC. There’s a BBC special on it. If you can get hold of that, fast-forward past the view of her feet after the first day—not for the squeamish!
