Unfortunately, this same week, the heads of our intelligence services testified in Congress that President Trump has not asked them to take any meaningful steps in advance of the 2018 and 2020 elections to protect the American people from such attacks.

We know President Trump may never acknowledge the undeniable truth of what Russia did to our country. But Members of Congress like John Faso have a responsibility to protect their constituents.

Instead, Republicans in Congress, including Congressman Faso, either share in the Trump Administration's state of denial, or are complicit by their silence. This has nothing to do with the results of the 2016 election; what's done is done.

This is about knowing what happened, understanding ongoing threats, and defending American voters right to choose their elected officials, free from foreign interference. Failing to do so is a dereliction of duty by President Trump and Congressional Republicans.
