Keeping the government open is a basic function of Congress, and the failure to do so is shameful. The GOP created this problem, and is using the health of our children as a bargaining chip while leaving the fate of more than 800,000 DREAMers undecided.
It’s time we have people in Congress who actually go to DC to do their job and govern for the well-being of our nation, rather than play partisan politics at the expense of the most vulnerable among us.
