Even places with broadband have one service provider. Why are we outsourcing a public utility to monopolies under the guise of 'free markets'?

Good point. Mega private interests are also taking over housing, education, prisons, family farms. Much of our food supply is monopolized too. However, at least two local broadband providers testified at
@repdelgado's session.
