While touring local hospitals, meeting with our #NY19 Healthcare Advisory Committee & with other local medical professionals, I've heard about the important & often lifesaving role telehealth can provide to patients by removing barriers to care.
Improving telehealth availability goes hand in hand with improving rural broadband access. Both are top priorities for me in Congress & being addressed through legislation & within our Rural Broadband Task Force.
I must be missing something....but how do taxpayers benefit from building rural access to broadband...cable companies will benefit, private companies like telehealth will benefit...taxpayers will foot the bill
