In their letter, reps for these companies wrote, "Broadly applied tariffs are not an effective tool to change China’s unfair trade practices. Tariffs are taxes paid directly by U.S. companies...not China.”
This Administration was right to want China to treat U.S. companies fairly, but more than a year later this reckless trade policy has only succeeded in hurting them.
