It’s why the House last week passed the #PaycheckFairnessAct — legislation I was proud to sign onto as an original cosponsor — and the Senate needs to follow our lead. Fair pay shouldn’t be a partisan issue.

It’s #EqualPayDay, marking when women’s wages catch up to men’s from the year before. Pay discrimination is not only unfair, it’s illegal and a drain on our economy.

The original bill passed in 1963 had loopholes and this helps close those loopholes. If you ‘believe’ in facts then there is pay discrimination. The rulings in the courts made these loopholes apparent so it became clear what needed to be fixed. Try google sometime.pic.twitter.com/CxX9GhrJSu
