More than 11 million Americans took on added credit card debt in 2013 to cover medical expenses. 15 million depleted their savings to pay for medical bills. Another 10 million were unable to pay for basic necessities, including rent, food and utilities, because of medical bills.

We have got to work together to make healthcare accessible and affordable for everyone. No one should be forced wipe out their savings or go into debt to pay for healthcare coverage.
