In the past 10 years, we've seen an increase in Medicaid enrollment by 2 million people. The uninsured rate has fallen to 4.9%, compared to 10.9% in 2008.

I agree with Comptroller DiNapoli that "We cannot go backwards on health care and force people to choose between buying groceries or seeing a doctor." The people of our district deserve universal quality, affordable and accessible healthcare.
