In Columbia County, there is only 1 primary care doctor for every 1,980 residents. In Greene, there is only 1 for every 2,650 residents. Compare that to the national standard, which is 1 primary care doctor for every 1,200 residents.
When New Yorkers are battling sickness and poor access to care, it's hard for them to pay the bills or keep food on the table for their families.
