At a time when more than one-third of NYers rely on programs like Medicaid, it's unconscionable that our elected representative would vote to cut funding for these programs and deny constituents access to quality, affordable healthcare.
Enrollment in these programs among people in #NY19 has also gone up. In Dutchess the number of Medicaid enrollees more than doubled over the past decade and in Columbia, Sullivan and Ulster counties enrollment grew more than 75%.
And what’s causing the increase in enrollment? Why not try to find out what’s causing a significant increase of a primary need/income based program. Fix the problem, don’t offer a bigger bandaid
