To be clear, @JohnFasoNy so and I are not in agreement on this issue. Here are the facts: 1) Russia is an adversary, not an ally; 2) Putin has proven to be a foe and shouldn't be treated as a friend; and http://www.dailyfreeman.com/article/DF/20180716/NEWS/180719784 …

3) our President went out of his way to not offend a clear adversary who seems determined to undermine our democracy, which is unacceptable. With that in mind, unlike
@JohnFasoNy, I would do the following:1 reply 3 retweets 20 likesShow this thread -
- Call for increased sanctions against Russia based on the unanimous findings of our intel community. I have not heard
@JohnFasoNy call for these increased sanctions. Why not?1 reply 3 retweets 19 likesShow this thread -
- Call for the immediate passage of bipartisan legislation to protect the investigation conducted by Robert Mueller.
@JohnFasoNy has indicated he supports this investigation but has yet to make it clear that he would sign on to this legislation. Why not?1 reply 6 retweets 24 likesShow this thread -
- Unlike
@JohnFasoNy, I would have voted for renewed election security funding at a time when our own U.S. national security and intelligence experts tell us Russia is actively meddling in our democratic processes.@JohnFasoNy voted no for that funding.1 reply 7 retweets 26 likesShow this thread -
Finally, I do not, as
@JohnFasoNy has indicated, understand the "impatience" some people have expressed around the length of the Mueller investigation. This investigation has led to charges against more than 30 people, incl 26 Russian nationals, 5 Americans & 3 Russian businesses1 reply 6 retweets 24 likesShow this thread -
In total, 32 people have been indicted, five of whom have pleaded guilty. Clearly, the length of the investigation has proven very fruitful and should not be viewed with skepticism.

Which means not sitting by idly or remaining silent in the face of what is a clear and ongoing foreign threat and an Administration that appears unwilling to uphold its solemn duty to protect, preserve and secure our nation.
