We launched our campaign more than a year ago, focusing on bringing opportunity back to our region, which means fighting for universal health care, funding our public schools, and creating good-paying jobs through public works infrastructure + transitioning to a green economy.
The contrast with Rep. Faso could not be more clear. He voted to take away our health care and defund Planned Parenthood, rolled back environmental protections, has said nothing of funding our public schools, and refuses to meet with his constituents in an open and public forum.
The fact is, our Congressman is carrying the bag for outside interests and has displayed no interest in providing a vision for the place we all call home. We deserve better.
My wife, Lacey, and I made the decision together to run this race because the crisis we are living through is deeper than a political one — it is a moral one.
Our shared democratic principles and values are at stake, which means this country’s future as a beacon of hope and opportunity for all — no matter one’s race, class, religion, gender, or sexual orientation — is in peril.
The time is now to remember our founding principles and to fight like never before to live up to those principles.
We will not be outworked over the next several months of this campaign. Whether you’ve been a part of this team since day one or you just joined us, thank you. We wouldn’t be where we are without you. We’re looking forward to fighting alongside you. Onward and upward!
