Tip for @HouseJudiciary:
Go thru each of the misrepresentations in Barr's letter. Establish that he wrote X; then read Y, entire sentence or passage from Mueller report. Don't ask him "why" he wrote it that way; just go on to the next. Do the same for his press conference lies.https://twitter.com/RyanLizza/status/1119597836918771715 …

I hope you have the ear of Nadler et al.

Dear
@RepJerryNadler - hire Elizabeth DelaVega! -
She could train each member of the judiciary that cares about the rule of law and proper questioning
@repnadler.

why do not ask why

So he doesn’t have a chance to spin it
-
Right - he'll take up as much time as he can spinning. Don't give him the air time.

Has Barr said anything publicly about his conflicts? His son in law joined the WH counsel's ofc in Feb. His daughter who is at the DOJ is working in financial crimes in the NY area. Both overlap with Barr's job. Another family bus with conflicts

They should also not ask 20 questions in 1 as they did in the last hearing. This gives him a chance to pick and chose, to ramble. Ask 1 clear and distinct question at a time. Get the answer, ask the next. This can be done in rapid fire mode, get an answer before asking the next.

Oh yes! It *is* the Judiciary Committee after all - treat Barr like the suspect/defendant (that he is) on the stand. Great comment, Ms. de la Vega!!

As someone who wrote questions for Senators to ask for 15 years, I commend this approach. Establish facts. Don’t invite after the fact justifications. Let the American people decide based on the evidence.
-
I hope you didn’t write any 5 minute long grandstanding speeches which were disguised as questions. They drive people nuts.
-
No...I didn’t write any of those. And I worked for bosses who understood the difference between an opening statement and question time.

Elizabeth.... Best road map I've seen for the upcoming proceedings. Too bad that this is really simply SOP. We have gotten so far from the norm that all that is expected is a shitload of ideology laced rants. Thank you for the clean and simple.

Ask him to simply confirm his statement, line-by-line. No amplification. No explanation. A simple yes or no.
-
And it's a felony to lie to Congress
