Appreciate where you're coming from, but shouldn't priority be to change "way the game is played"? Maybe advocate for general transparency re salaries, which undoes some of the basis for the "way." And yes share info. But why should negotiation skills set salary trajectory?

While I'm not marginalized at all, it was "funny" finding (accidentally) publicly shared payments information at a company I was working at, and seeing I was lowest paid artist, even after new artists had joined 2 years later.

What do you attribute the pay differential to? Transparency would be a remedy. I'm also arguing that in its absence, making salaries dependent on negotiations at the outset is problematic - leading to situations like you describe. Which in turn may set the long-term salary arc.
