Since I spent all kinds of time saying it on a Reddit AMA, and I haven't talked about actual game dev on Twitter in a while, here's a thread about writing for the PC character in an MMO.

You getting mad at my obvious attempt at creating dialogue and discussion with you, instead of just replying that I am wrong or otherwise correct me in my false assumptions, is really just disheartening for me. You do you though. I'm sorry if it offended. I'll leave you to it.

I don't understand this logic. It's a public twitter. People make comments/respond all the time. They can choose to not respond or respond. The point is that the medium of "twitter" is irrelevant to the discussion.
-
Just because it's public doesn't mean we shouldn't have rules/courtesies. I don't jump into conversations in public whenever I feel like it, except under very, very circumstances.
-
Are you kidding me? He was responding to a tweet about an AMA. Do you know what an AMA is? "Ask Me Anything". All the tweets in and of themselves are open to public dialogue.

This tweet has gotten nearly 300 likes and way too many replies. I feel like pulling a Jessica Price and saying

Twitter is a broadcasting network, not a private email or instant messaging tool.

He was NOTHING BUT civil. He was trying to engage in a conversation. How is that mansplaining? And before you go off at me, 99.9% of the time I'd have been on your side. The toxic masculinity in gaming makes me sick. But I'm sorry I don't see any evidence of that here.
-
Moreover, screaming mansplaining at every guy who disagrees with you or has a conversation with you delegitimises actual mansplaining, which is a real and serious issue. This some boy who cried wolf shit.
-
"Mansplaining" is not a serious issue to any serious person.
-
Then you don't understand the problem buddy
-
Wrong, it's trivial nonsense, just like this very situation.

real mature response. you could've, you know, maybe instead explained to him why he was wrong and corrected his misconceptions if he had any(since you didn't actually tell him why he's wrong), instead you acted like a child and brought gender into it and than hid behind it.
-
It is no professional's job to give people a lesson in why they're wrong. She did not choose to engage him, he chose to engage her. She owes him nothing.
-
Except he was a customer giving feedback, so at least keeping it civil was due, yeah. Why not answer like: "Blah blah current system feels more practical. Blah blah creative choices. But we'll keep monitoring feedback. You're welcome". Neutral. Innocuous. That'd be professional.
-
Except Jessica CHOSE to engage the public in this topic. I guess she’s ignorant of how twitter works? Or perhaps the dude was ignorant to how leftists work: don’t challenge women when they have an opinion because they are too fragile to debate their positions.

They stated what would invest them more into an mmo type game. I know the opinions of gamers should mean nothing to a game developer. Right? Lol you wont last long in the industry. Not to any real capacity lol

Jessica is what we call "a snowflake" and these people defending her are called "SJWs"

However, allow me to disagree *slightly*. I dont believe the issue lies in the MMORPG genre itself (as your wording seemingly suggest). I believe the issue lies in the contraints of the Living Story's narrative design; (1 of 3)
