    Like I very much believe that this attitude, this pattern of covering up for and enabling child abusers, is the result of a binary attitude toward wrongdoing—forgiven or not forgiven—and treating all of it as equally damning. Also of directing accountability to God, not victims.

    I have Bird YouTube on to keep my kitties busy while I work but Lucy has not pushed my laptop off my lap 3 times because what she wants is to hunt the birds from my lap, while being petted and fed freeze-dried chicken. This cat would not survive in the wild.

    If you don't want to eat Sabra hummus let me recommend Cedar's, owned by Abe and Layla Hanna, formerly of Beirut and currently of Massachusetts. Just solid, delicious hummus. Their balsamic and caramelized onion hummus is fantastic too.

    People who think Bernie Sanders is an actual Communist are as dumb as the people who called Barack Obama a Marxist. His conception of democratic socialism is barely socialist. He's a social democrat and his views are hardly extreme. Portraying him as radical is laughable.
