I take part in the cheering every evening, and I have a simple way of dealing with these Trump briefings that I urge on everyone: never watch. Reading about it in the paper the next morning is more than enough.

I truly believe that not watching trump has kept me in good humor. And reading your daughter and her colleagues the next morning is MORE than enough covid-19 info. I know the safety warnings; hearing his blather helps no one.
