I've spent time as a partisan political operative and as I’ve gotten older, I can tell you that partisanship is cancer. It’s destructive, corrosive, and will be our downfall. Having balance is a crucial component of a viable political system.
I don’t see partisanship as a problem. I see the unwillingness to compromise as what is driving our country apart. These days you have to be 100% in or you are not considered loyal. Without compromising nothing happens and everything is us vs them.
